Alternative Medicine on Harassment

This is my first time to write under #familyprotection and i would like to share an unusual case about a Doctor from the Philippines who goes by the name of Dr.Farrah Agustin - Bunch. Dr. Farrah, is a medical practitioner who promotes natural and holistic healing in the Philippines. Her Natural Medical Clinic treats people with terminal illnesses specifically cancer. She helps terminally ill people with the uses of herbs (credited of the Philippine government of traditional and alternative medicine), an immunotherapy and a strict diet to follow for the whole duration of natural treatment.

Thousands of people claimed that Dr.Farah Agustin- Bunch healed their illness including severe stage of cancer and diabetes complications by using their products derived from natural herbs.

Everyone have the right to choose options for our healthcare, be it natural healing or synthetic therapies.

In the middle of august of this year, Dr. Farrah Agustin-Bunch Natural Medical clinic have been claimed that they are illegally raided by the Philippine police. Barricaded the areas of the clinic, post signage “closure” and revoked the LTO (Licence to Operate) permanently, (which is allowable for up to one year). Imposed penalty with a fine of 1,000,000 pesos which exceeds from the maximum 500, 000 pesos and received threats including her family and patients.

It is unfair and inhumane! Denying the right of a person for a proper protocol of due process.

While it is true that the Natural Medical center do not have the facilities for the modern equipment including emergency, laboratory and pharmacy, because it uses Natural herbs. They have what they called, FARMacy, The facility produce its own scientific natural products to combat illnesses.

In a recent hearing to the case, it found out that scientific health products is not registered through FDA (Food and Drug administration). Though,

There were lots of people healed effectively in their treatment facility and NO any patient complaint received by Dr. Farrah Agustin - Bunch from her Natural Medical Center.

Large Pharmaceutical companies complained to the government authority due to the presence of the Natural Treatment Clinic, as they claimed that their health products are not registered through the FDA.

As more people come to embrace Natural Treatment instead of synthetic therapies like radiation and chemotherapy which has little effects in treating terminal illness. Giant pharmaceutical companies and large hospital are at stake for their profits.They sense a stong Competition between pharmaceutical companies and Natural products. Has the healthcare became a politically dodgy business?

Pharmaceutical companies are afraid of competition because it will hurt their profits, as more and more people turning into the effectiveness of Natural healing.

Even Dr. Farrah’s Husband who is a foreigner is threatened to be deported by the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs).

We all have the right to choose what treatment we will be comfortable with and what will work for us. Practicing liberty and freedom is one of the basic rights for a quality life. How powerful people can abuse their power and ruined lives of many, is it because they can, so they do so. What is the hope for the people who only wants to be treated in a natural way. Instead of promoting alternative and holistic medicine, why do they destroy it? Natural Medicine has been here thousands of years before this synthetic treatments came. Why can we just promote it or work side by side with medicines.

What will happen to the people who choose to be touched by the wonders of natural healing. It is only probably their ultimate hope to live in this world for their family.

What will happen to Dr. Farrah Agustin-Bunch and her family. She was denied for her rights and harassed her family. Clearly, her mission was to help the people, especially Filipinos to seek and experience the effectiveness of Natural healing through alternative medicine in an affordable treatment.

I am following this case, In the recent hearing held, There was no solid evidence from the side of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for closing the establishment.
