VIOLENCE in children is not limited to the physical such as cuts and bruises but also emotionally like neglect. Violent children should be dealt with promptly to avoid any psychological trauma that may be carried into adulthood.

the following are myths and facts about child abuse that every parent should know.

Myth: Called violence if there is physical evidence such as cuts and bruises.

Fact: Violence is emotionally as damaging as physical violence. But because the evidence is more invisible, it is difficult for others outside the family to act.

Myth: Only bad parents abuse their children.

Fact: Parents who do not intend to harm their children sometimes engage in emotional violence without knowing if such actions include violence. For example, because it is too busy to work, children do not have time to eat dinner until starvation.

Myth: Violence in children does not occur in good families.

Fact: Violence in children does not only happen in poor families or bad neighborhoods but also in families. The unpleasant treatment of these children is not limited to certain races, economies, and cultures. In many cases, families with better levels of the economy are better at covering up their actions.

Myth: Most perpetrators of violence are foreigners.

Fact: Most of the perpetrators turned out to be family members or others close to the family.

Myth: Child victims of violence will grow into violent actors as adults.

Fact: The above myth is true. Violent child victims will unconsciously repeat the cycle as adults. But many victims of violence end up protecting their children because they do not want their children to experience the treatments they experience as young children.

Its a very sad subject but one that needs to be spoken about. Its truly heartbreaking what some kiddos have to go through, and without anyone knowing. Many dont speak up because they dont even realize that its bad to be treated so badly, whether its verbal or physical. Thank you for raising awareness.

Ok thanks.

Thank you for raising awareness on such a hard subject.

Thank you for tackling this difficult subject. For most people their only road map for parenting is how they were parented. It is one of the largest challenges most of us take on. My heart aches for all those children who are subjected to any form of abuse.

Ok thanks you for visiting my blog..
