The mysterious quotinians of the sixteenth-century French astrologer Nostradamus have long proved fascinating for their predictions. Nostradamus is credited with the Great Fire of London, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and the anticipation of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Today, as the world continues to grapple with May's predictions of financial stagnation, global terrorism and environmental catastrophe, as well as the May 21, 2012 catastrophe - his death predictions are all the more relevant. However, like horoscopes, predictions are vague and therefore open to reader interpretation and bias.
