It's been a year since you joined, and we are so excited to have you on OUR platform! Thanks for choosing STEEM to develop our favorite game, Steem Monsters!

Interview 1 (3:28 - 14:51)
Listen to Matt talk about how he got started developing the game -- He was actually looking into making his own blockchain, just for this game. He wasn't sure STEEM would work for what he was shooting for. Then he discovered he could lay a "soft consensus" blockchain node on top of the existing STEEM blockchain, and voila! It's a revolutionary approach, and has opened the minds of developers as to what's possible with the existing blockchain.

Interview 2 (14:52 - 55:26)
Hear what he's designed for the actual game rules! In this discussion, we fill in some of the holes and answer some of the questions explaining how it actually works.

    OMG I am only 10 minutes in and am loving this interview!! The lemon pucker face closeup literally made me laugh out loud @littlescribe!

    @yabapmatt - It's so awesome to hear you talk about how making this game is like fulfilling a childhood dream. You can totally tell that creating this game makes you come alive! Even with the lack of sleep.

                Ha ha ha! Well...I made that up. It doesn't get more leisurely. What really happens is the world speed up with each generation, and the generation before it stays at the same pace. So they LOOK leisurely, but really their heads are spinning. That's why they need the canes. To keep from falling over.
