This morning Harvest announced a giveaway in partnership with Layer3! This giveaway focuses on earning FARM by creating content about Harvest and covers a very very wide range of topics! The deadline for entry is December 1st and entries range from video submissions about how to use Harvest to creating a Twitter Thread about your adventure of finding and using Harvest! Like almost all Harvest giveaways for those who are artistic you can also create memes but what I love about this one is how you do not have to be artistic to have a chance!
Overall 5 different ways are listed to enter/earn FARM. Each way has the amount of FARM up for grabs and from what I have seen I believe the FARM will be broken down for winners but I could be wrong about that! Overall 30 FARM is up for grabs and the different contests you can participate in can be found on Layer3's website here. One contest of particular note is if you have a large social media following this is the one for you! For every 1,000 views, your tweet gets you will earn $10 in FARM, and to prove this you will have to upload a CSV file showing the interactions with your tweet to Layer3's site.
All of this being said what is Layer3? Layer3 is a DAO that lists tasks for individuals to complete. They call these bounties but it is not like you are having to find issues with code like I would have expected instead these are bounties on creating content. Layer3 itself verifies that the tasks have been completed as well and works with platforms like Harvest to ensure that people did what they claimed to have done (they will check the CSV file for the Twitter interaction contest).
Layer3 is something that makes a ton of sense in the new and emerging crypto world as a platform that can really help out emerging Defi applications. They also have a host of different backers that are well known like ParaFi Capital and have worked with other huge names including platforms Harvest has also worked with like Bancor and Rari Capital!
