When the harvest season arrives

in farmers •  7 years ago  (edited)

Good morning steemian how are you guys today.
An area / village with the majority of its population as farmers, with road conditions are still often damaged and punches, especially in the rainy season arrived. The rainy season is the season my people have been waiting for, where they will be able to grow rice crops, where the area has no good irrigation facilities. so they reap the harvest of rice which on average can only 1 year twice. The rainy season is sometimes unpredictable because the climate is less clear.

Currently the rice harvest season has arrived, the farmers began to busy harvesting their rice-rice, rice fields increasingly crowded because automatically kesawah activity will be more dense than the usual days. besides busy harvesting their rice, some families are also busy at home to dry their rice.Weather is hard to guess ,, when cool drying the rice even rain suddenly come and make the fog of people who are drying their rice. Like some today, my dad's mom is also busy with their rice drying. No rain even sometimes come suddenly in the middle of the day, the clothesline is not dry and sometimes some rain ..
Usually when the neighbors who do not have a clothesline and are not busy are helping us. We are very grateful, the sociality and help helps between us are very closely intertwined, and hopefully stay always close and good.

Rice-rice that is late in the sun and or because there is no sunlight that appears to make rice-rice mushrooming and growing so as to make the quality of rice becomes less good and make the price fall when sold.
This year's season many complained about their plants because in addition to difficult to find fertilizer, pests of mice were quite a lot and damage the plants. Various ways are done to minimize the disruption of these pests.
Incidentally a few days ago when the harvest of rice arrived I was on holiday work ,, so I took myself untu participate kesawah. The harvest is the hope of the family and the entire population for the fulfillment of daily needs until the next harvest comes. So we have to be very clever to regulate the expenditure of the crops in order not to run out first before the next harvest comes. Thankfully we can save from some of the harvest. Our hope, hopefully our harvest remains abundant this year despite having to share with rats and other pests. Hopefully after the rice harvest, the season and the weather are friendly with us so we can connect the crops with peanuts and more.

~ This brief piece of our experience, hopefully can give life color and we are always grateful ~

I enjoyed reading your article, @terry00. When your neighbors help you harvest the rice do you give them some of the harvest in return?
Cheers!
