As mentioned in a former post ( see: Sample: Organic Urban Farming), after High School, I spent about one year abroad, working on organic farms. I did this via the organisation WWOOF, aka. World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms, and I can recommend everyone to work on a farm at least once in their life.
The effects are enlightening and peaceful, as the bond between nature and man is strongest, when man is in direct contact, in a relationship with nature. It is well known that the first philosophers and scientists were indeed farmers. :)
I spend fall in Southern France, working in the Provence and in a suburb of Nice. Here are some impressions of life in the Provence! Enjoy! :)
Working Hands ;-)
The fields...harvesting and weeding were daily business.
A clean field.
Kittens taking a nap on my bed :)
Hiking behind the farm.
Old town near by, where we sold our veggies.
Day trip to a waterfall: There are plenty of waterfalls and lagoons in the Provence, scattered all around. Perfect for swimming in the summer.
Old olive presses for making olive oil.
Wow, you hardly see people around, a total contrast to what the roads are in India. Nice post mate. Followed you. Please follow me back and let's support each other in this amazing community!!!!
