These grow wild around here and we've called them tree chickens but they actually called chachalacas. They're known for the crazy mating noises they make. So far they seem smarter than chickens and have eaten food out of hand. Hopefully we have a breeding pair, for more! Stay tuned for a more in depth update!

they look happy and to anyone worried about the metal cage, they are fine, they dont even notice the metal bars, their brains just care about that they are happy to be fed and thats just for transportation

They've got a slightly bigger house but honestly they're small and so long as they aren't bothered they don't move much at the moment.

I guess you’ll have no problem waking up at dawn with these noisy buggers around. They look as happy as they sound. Hope they don’t turn out to be two dudes.

Looks like one has a long showy tail, hoping it's a pair. I already have enough outside and they don't bother me.

On another note, I already wake up at dawn...

I think they are cool looking, and the name just rolls off the tongue. Best of luck with breeding. Do they lay eggs?

They do, apparently rough textured eggs.

Wow these are amazing. I love the name too. I hope you have a breeding pair too. Babies would be awesome! 🌈💛🌴🦋❤️
