Community of @steemit, agricultural specialists and gardeners know that the improvement of their fertile qualities and, consequently, an increase in yield, depends on the systematic tillage and the use of fertilizers. That is why today I dedicate this publication to fertilizers, types and uses.

One of the main sources to increase the fertile qualities of a plot are mineral fertilizers. These fertilizers are one of the main sources of nutrition for several plants, contribute to the improvement of the properties of the earth, and this, the endowment of soil with nitrogen and phosphorus, potassium and magnesium, calcium and sulfur and iron.

All these elements are equally necessary for the full development of the plants. As a general rule, all the necessary elements are in the ground, but over time the soil is depleted and, often, the individual elements are not enough to satisfy the needs of the plants.

The use of fertilizers helps eliminate this disadvantage. The most common are mineral fertilizers. When fertilizers are used, it is possible to significantly increase the yield of any crop, even in the most nutrient poor and waste lands. Currently, the chemical industry produces several types of fertilizers:

Phosphoric fertilizers.

As a general rule, it is a precipitate and a simple superphosphate, a double superphosphate. These fertilizers are obtained through the chemical processing of rock phosphate. Thanks to this treatment, the normal salt becomes acid, which is much better absorbed by the plants.

Nitrogen fertilizers.

These include ammonium sulfate and calcium nitrate, sodium ammonium nitrate, liquid NH3 and ammonium sodium sulfate. These fertilizers, in the soil become a sedentary form. Subsequently, under the influence of nitrifying bacteria in the soil, the immobile form becomes mobile.

This fertilizer is suitable for any crop. They are used in acid and non-acid soils, while liming them. In addition, nitrogen fertilizers are divided into several subspecies. These are nitrate fertilizers (as mentioned above, calcium and sodium nitrate), ammonium nitrate fertilizers and amide fertilizers. In turn, the latter differ in bad and well soluble. Ammonium nitrate-amide fertilizers are concentrated solutions of water and carambide, water and ammonium nitrate. Such a subspecies is very effective in feeding plants and improving the fertile properties of the earth.

Potassium fertilizers.

This species includes mixed salts of potassium or potassium chloride. Like other types of fertilizers, this type contributes to crop yields for the nutrition of plants in agriculture. For example, potassium sulfate is ideal for all types of crops, but it is best used for crops that are very sensitive to chlorine. As a general rule, potassium sulfate is used to feed tobacco and grapes, tea and citrus plants. Thanks to its use, not only the quality of the previous plants is improved, but also the performance. There are mixed salts of potassium (30 and 40%). They are found in their value as a nutrient between silvinite and potassium chloride. These subspecies are especially effective when used as fodder beet or sugar beet.

When applying potash fertilizers to the soil, it is recommended to close approximately to the depth of the topsoil. Potassium salts are introduced into the soil in the fall. In Russian open spaces, potash fertilizers are used in most of the earth. They are especially necessary when cultivated in degraded chernozem or in leached lands, in sandy and mossy, in meadows and marshes. Potassium fertilizers are used for most crops. They provide 45-60 kilograms per hectare of land. For beets and tobacco, potatoes and other crops that have a greater need for potassium, this ratio increases from 90 to 100 kilograms.

Recently boron and manganese have been put into use, as well as magnesium fertilizers.

Very often, gardeners use organic fertilizers. This type of fertilizer is also divided into several subspecies: organic fertilizers of plant origin; natural and industrial organic fertilizers of animal origin (manure and slurry, bird droppings); and natural mineral fertilizers and non-synthetic fertilizers.
