So as me and my team of eliminatingblindness has been doing (STEEM WILL FEED KNUST), we like to visit communities perform free eye care for them and then introduce them to steemit so they can make earnings to help alleviate poverty and feed themselves and their families. Very recently we visited the Aboabo Community in Kumasi, Ghana, and as usual we conducted our eye checkups and afterwhich we introduced the community to steemit. The community has its greater population been old men and women so it was a little more difficult than usual unlike the KNUST community which is full of literates and computer oriented people, so in the end we ended up focusing on the youth.

Aside they learning about steemit we also learned about their way of life, with our focus on the common foods they eat and how steem can help feed people and curb hunger. It turns out that some of the most common foods you would find within the community is porridge (not the one prepared with corn dough though but rather millet), "waakye", "diehuo" and "tuo zaafi", i had to use the indeginous names because i haven't had time to find out their corresponding names in English, that's if they are even available in English. Anyway am going to talk about only two of them.

The millet porridge has it range from 1 - 2 ghana cedis, no matter how hungry you may be or gourmand you may be, you can't exceed 2 ghana, the sellers most often add milk to it to add more sweetness to it, then depending on the buyer you may either add "kose" or buff-loaf. The kose is just like buff loaf, just that it is full of beans with bread inside. They described it as a perfect combination and a lovely food to have early in the morning. Beans has protein and because its fried you get to have fats and oil, the porridge gives you carbohydrate and some minerals making it a complete diet for an individual. The price of "Koose" also usually starts from 50 Ghana Pesewas upwards however most often people prefer to buy 1 ghana cedis **which means one need just 3 ghana cedis which is equivalent to 0.24STEEM to be able to enjoy a complete package of the local porridge otherwise known as "koko". 1 STEEM can thus buy 4 packages of koko or feed 4 people with "koko"

The waakye delicacy is the name given to red kinda rice mixed with beans and cooked. It is served with some stew, noodles, leaves (lettuces, cabbages etc), gari (grinded cassava) and some meat, egg or fish. This food is a perfect diet because it contains all the food nutrients, which means deficiencies are been avoided. The meal can be taken during anytime of the day but most often the local people prefer it to be in the morning or afternoon. A complete package of "Waakye" containing all the accoutrement would require about 5 ghana cedis which is equivalent to 0.41STEEM, thus 1STEEM can provide for 2 individuals with a well balanced diet of "awaakye"

These analysis made the people optimistic about the steemit community and most of them have signed up pending their confirmation, they saw the community as an opportunity to better their lives and that of others by following their passion and doing what they do best online and i must say i do agree with them. The steem it community is changing lives and with the help of @farms and @steemchurch, the world will be feed community by community. Am grateful for having had the opportunity to help impact the lives of others through steemit. Lets take the word out there and help feed the world together as community.

Christ has been our good example
It still holds strong appeal for this sign shows Jesus to be the supplier of men’s needs (1 Cor. 10:3-5). He is the Living Bread (6:51), the True Bread of God (v. 33), the True Bread out of heaven (v. 32). He is the one who daily feeds the whole world by creating harvest fields from a few grains. [Morris, John, 340-341]

Christ always has been the provider of His people’s needs. He will always be. The question is will we see our true needs and look to Him to provide them. Jesus is the One who is the hope of the Second Exodus, which will lead to freedom from mankind’s slavery to self, sin, and Satan. This miracle, rightly understood, points to Jesus as the Messiah and to a heavenly kingdom. The crowd that experienced the miracle wanted an earthly kingdom.

Surely how might steem bolster the qhole group. We as ranchers we are prepareed to know the cost of nourishment thing.

What a wonderful post. Indeed how would steem feed the the qhole community. We as farmers we are prepareed to know the cost of food item. Thanks for educating us about the analysis and showing us some wonderful prepared food.
