FARM'S TOPIC: HUMAN LABOUR IN FARMLANDS AND HOW IT IS SO IMPORTANT

What is human labour? This is the aggregate effort used in creation of goods and services. As we all know,labour is a primary factor of production.

Farmland: is a land used for farming and it was the largest agricultural cooperative in North America after then it was at last sold all of its assets in 2002-2004. Farmland has played a significant role in agricultural markets both domestically and worldwide and has served its farmer membership as a divided integrated organization during the 74 year history. Farmland has a slogan which is "Good Food from the Heartland " and Smithfield Foods owned it now. Farmland food has serves both domestic and international markets and has revenues in excess of $3.5 billion per year.

Farmland was founded in 1929 by *Howard A. Cowden with the name "Union oil company". Then in year 1935,it was given the name "Consumers Cooperative Association" before it was now given the name Farmland industries, Inc. In 1966. Farmland industries was the leading agricultural cooperative in North America and it was owned by 1700 farm cooperatives in the United states,Canada and Mexico. The members and owners of farmland industries shared different commercial and benefits financially which includes the sharing of costs for the processing and marketing of goods,competitive prices and better supply and delivery capabilities. This industries gradually was growing and was divided now turning to international markets, contracting to sell Wheats,fertilizer and food products overseas and forming joint ventures with foreign partners.

In 1997,Farmland builds a joint venture with Mississippi Chemical corps and together they build an ammonia plant in Trinidad that was made to lower the cost of production of nitrogen fertilizers by utilizing Trinidad's plentiful and lower-cost natural gas supply.
Using lands as farmlands can give answers to many problems in the world, the reason is that many countries have suffered from starving especially in Africa. So when human plant on these farmlands, there production will be more than enough to feed millions of poor families. Without human,the world is nothing,everywhere will just be a zoo if any human never exist. I went to a poor town last summer in Africa, I saw many children who suffered from hunger, so I think if these people can think of using the land as farmlands, they can help other poor families to find at least one meal a day to eat. We also have some university graduates who haven't found any job yet,if they can build factories using these lands,they can help the society in two ways;

• The opportunity to find a work for those who needs money

• These industries can provide the necessary things like clothes to wear, cars to transport them etc for the inhabitants.

Farmland is so easier to human in such a way that they can start planting in a little way and what they gets from it,they use it for making bigger farmland just for the sake of not going hunger and meeting the needs of people. Since price of food is going higher,the urge to use lands for farmlands will not be difficult so as to get food and other things without spending much. The more farmland, the better. It is an excellent investment and also helps investors understand how value exists in markets

IMPORTANCE OF FARMLANDS TO HUMAN LABOUR

Some people still go ahead asking why saving farmland is still important, they don't know the value of what they are missing.

• Farmland is a green space,people don't think of it that way. It is a significant contributor to environmental quality

• Farmland enhances the quality of life in communities both in rural and urban areas

• It promotes community and small family farms

• It protect local food system

• Farmland promotes stewardship

• It preserves water and soil quality

• It helps to control flooding, protects wetlands,watershed and also maintain air quality

• It provides a stable and higher paying markets for these growers and decreases costs for consumers by decreasing marketing costs by farmers

• Farmland provides fiscal stability to local government and boosts the economy
