Cilantro and its cultivation

source

Coriandro is an aromatic herb appreciated in gastronomy. Its scientific name is Coriandro savirum. This brings a fresh aroma to different dishes, but its benefits do not stop there, as cilantro brings health benefits. For this reason, it would be convenient to have a few of these plants in our homes. So, in this opportunity I bring you information about the cultivation of coriander.

The cultivation of coriander can be done with or without seed. If we have the seeds, we proceed to prepare the space. The sowing can be done directly to the ground or in pots. If you do not have the necessary space, then you can do it in a pot. To select the appropriate pot, consider purchasing a large one that allows the development of cilantro to be as appropriate as possible.

Once the ideal flowerpot is found, it proceeds to fill it halfway with earth, it moistens the earth, but without puddling. Then, put the seeds in the ground and cover them with more dirt. Try to put the flowerpot somewhere where it gives direct light. The seeds will begin to germinate approximately within 7 to 10 days. It is recommended to keep the soil moist. Watering with a sprayer would be ideal. Cilantro can be harvested when its stems are at least 10cm (or 15cm). To do so, it is suggested not to tear the branches from the root, otherwise cut some leaves to promote that they continue to grow.

If you do not have coriander seeds, you can use their roots. For this you will have to make a bunch of coriander, cut half of the cilantro. Put it for a few days in a glass of water until the buds begin to be born. When that time comes, you can put it in a pot and you will also have cilantro at home.
