In the USA we are seeing a rising of violent and hate filled groups like the white nationalist group the Proud Boys who gathered last week end in Salem Oregon.
I attended the event to document the rise of fascism in the USA and show future generations that there were folks standing up to the fascists and that we don't want that type of intolerance in the USA.
While I was using my phone to livestream a very angry man came at me. He was clearly triggered and struggling not to swing on me. At first he behaved as if he wanted to be friends, asking my name and trying to make small talk, but since I clearly wasn't playing along he began to escalate quickly.
