Everlane Collarless Shirt Dress: Review

You've seen me wear this shirt dress for quite a while... here and here on my instagram, pretty much everyday at work... There are many things I love about this piece so here we go.

Everlane has turned into my numero uno go-to brand. A brand I trust when it comes to quality, price, and socially fair and sustainable business practices. This is $65 and I bought a size 8. I purchased this shirt in January, and it hasn't escaped my weekly rotation until this summer because my interest in protecting my favorite pieces from sweat stains is high.

Yes, this is a shirt dress. Although, I more frequently wear this over pants with a flat leather shoe layered with a sweater in Winter and Spring. I got away with wear the long sleeve until the temperatures surpassed 80 degrees, and since it's been sitting in my closet till the temperatures drop again.

The fit on this is perfect. I typically have issues with the shoulder and chest ratios not being quite right. With a 34D bust, gaping is an issue I've just learned to alleviate by ordering a size up. But, I ordered true to size and this fits slim in the arms, perfect across the shoulders and bust, and is the perfect length to pull off as a dress or shirt. I'm 5' 7" with a longer torso and the length really works for me to wear both ways.

Also... pockets! This shirt dress has side seam pockets that are perfectly placed. They don't pucker at the hips or make any weird shapes. They are real-size pockets... my phone and keys fit in there without falling out.

All in all, I'm super pleased with their cotton poplin collarless shirtdress, it makes me want to buy more woven tops from Everlane.... and I probably will.
