Actor John Cena has joined the cast of Fast & Furious 9, where he will play the long-lost brother of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel).
John Cena is currently in the best moment of his film career, because apart from playing Jakob Toretto, brother of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) in Fast & Furious 9, we also get to see him in The Suicide Squad as Peacemaker. So two major premieres await him this year.
Now Vin Diesel wants to make it clear that he feels that his friend Paul Walker was the one who got in the way of John Cena signing him for Fast & Furious 9.
“I remember once we started approaching production, director Justin Lin and I would talk about how heartbreaking it was to choose the new Toretto. Toretto's brother. There are so many different directions you can go. And I remember John Cena going to this Temple of Dom that he owned where he would meditate and practice and start getting into Dom's state of mind. And I remember John coming in and I called him crazy, but I remember feeling that Paul... Paul Walker, I sent him. I remember talking to Justin that night and saying: "My instincts and my heart feel like this is the case."
Not only did Vin Diesel and Paul Walker star in the Fast & Furious films, they were almost like brothers off screen. Walker's daughter Meadow refers to the actor as Uncle Vin and has been doing so since childhood. While Vin Diesel's daughter's name is Paulina, in honor of her friend who died tragically in 2013.
What's the film about?
As we can see in the trailer we left next, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) tries to have a quiet life, but the arrival of Cipher (Charlize Theron) and his brother Jakob Toretto (John Cena) will make him have to live. Again, the most spectacular moments with any car, plane, truck or vehicle you own.
