Too fat to fight
I just read an article titled, “Too fat to fight: Pentagon grapples with obesity epidemic.”
In reading the comments, many offered reasons why Americans are fat. They ranged from, too much fructose, too much-refined flour, too much sugar in soft drinks, video games, technology, fast food restaurants, two-career families, broken families, etc.
It seems there is an endless list of excuses when the real reason is pretty simple.
First off, certain food and drinks do not make a person fat. Excess calories make a person fat. It takes roughly 10-12 calories to maintain 1 pound of weight. Therefore, an average person weighing 150 pounds needs only about 1500 - 1800 a day. Many people eat that in one sitting and blame their weight gain on their thyroid.
When people quit making excuse and manage their mindset and calorie intake they will be thin.
