Are crypto faucets worth it?

There's quite a few different faucets out there, but they only give such a miniscule amount that it would take you likely over a month to get a single payout, which won't be worth much anyway. Not only that, but you have to make sure you come back every hour to get the most you possibly can, for most of them, or for a few, every 5 minutes. Some it's only once a day.

It seems that the best way to actually get anything worthwhile from these faucets is by referrals, which basically means you do nothing (after getting referrals, of course) and rely on your referrals obsessively checking their faucets every 5 minutes/hour/day. You'd still need a lot of referrals to be able to get anything worthwhile.

It just seems a bit...pointless in some ways.
