Light-painting, planes and a stumpy horse...

One thing I love about steemit is that you always find something new and sometimes inspiring. For me, both categories apply and I have @dawnoner & @mafufuma to thank for this. These two steemit members are part of a community of light painters and it's a community I can't wait to get involved in. Their work is nothing short of awe inspiring and I would advise anyone to go take a look at their profiles.

Now, the light painting shots I'm putting on display are completely amateurish and you could even describe them as a bit of a mess, I don't care. Truth is, I just had to give this art form a try and waiting for my film to be developed has been one of my most exciting waits in a while. I hope that in years to come I'll look back on these virgin images with fondness and give myself a pat on the back about how much I've improved. For now you'll just have to bare with me a put up with a few crazy paintings that are far from perfect, like this one...

and this one too...

I've already found myself a new tool to "paint" with and my mind is completely flooded with ideas of how to utilise it. Until then, I'll leave you with a few of the other shots from my latest roll of 35mm Ektar 100 film.

In this shot I used an orange filter to catch a direct image of the midday sun.

And in this one I didn't ;)

Absolutely my friend, your work is truly inspirational! Thanks for the resteem, that's most kind of you :) I'm not really a fan of FB but do have a profile. I'll pop in when I get chance and say hi but I'm not the most tech minded person so don't not sure how much light I'll be able to shed on the steemit issues.

Warning removed

WTF! Why should my Invitation Scam? That group is real and just to support the Steemit community.

I'll ignore it buddy. It must be a mistake as you seem on the level to me.

Hello @mafufuma,
Please apologize for this false-positive alert. Some words used in your comment triggered my (very touchy) warning bot.
I updated the comment.

Great to see another enthousiast to be infected with the lightpainting virus. As for the result, I hope you find yourself in a year from now (and many more so!) looking back smiling on your first attempts. For me the journey with lightpainting always holds more then the end result. I did some lightpainting in the analog era and I admire your patient to wait for the results till the film has been developed and the prints are in! Digital gratifies our appetite instantly, but takes away from the anticipation. Hope to see more of your lightpaintings in the future!

I've been bitten by the bug real bad! I can't stop thinking about what to do next and I constantly looking for portable light sources... Thanks for the positive comments and you'll certainly be seeing more LP from me in the not to distant future, just have to wait for me to finish my roll of film ;)
