Better sunscreen on the way?

As someone who can't use avobenzone, I wish Congress and the FDA got moving on this. There have been hints at changes for years. Almost every chemical sunscreen in the US has avobenzone in it as it is the only "chemical" sunscreen ingredient approved to block broad spectrum UVA rays.

Japanese sunscreens often use Bemotrizinol instead as the article notes. Hopefully Bemotrizinol gets approved soon.

I order foreign sunscreen, but it'd be nice to be able to get it OTC at the store.
