The Concept of Loop Thinking

Have you ever think of doing any work but you never done it because you have a fear of failure?

If yes, here comes the concept of Loop Thinking. Loop Thinking has various definitions but in the piece, It can define as “Finding an escape by the brain when you have a fear of failure in any work.” This is because we think that we are not prepared for that work and fail if proceed.

So our brain decides that instead of performing right now we will prepare but the funny thing is it doesn’t matter how prepared we are we always stay afraid of trying that thing out.

This is what exactly called as Loop Thinking. We always think that we are preparing for next something great for future, we are educating our-self for the next phase. But in reality we do nothing, we just waste our time in thinking and thinking. Because we are stuck in the loop of thinking. Our brain fears the failure, It feels safe under the shadows of preparation and avoids going out in front of everyone.

What happens if my way of communication with them is not perfect? They all will be going to laugh at me. Maybe I lose many of them from my bucket, or my image in front of them will be shattered. These types of questions generally come to our mind when we are thinking.

Human behavior needs perfection. They want perfection in everything. They want to drive a car in a single try. But Do you ever ride a bicycle in a single try? Do you ever walk on your legs in a single try? I seriously don’t know about you but It took me months of trials and failures to learn these simple things.

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
-Vince Lombardi

So What you think?

Do loop thinking harm our growth?

In a way, YES it does. It stops us from sharing our innovations, ideas, creativity in front of the mass audience. It resist us to become the best in what we do. It stops us from connecting the world. It stops us from discovering ourselves, what purpose we are actually made up of. Which results in bringing down our confidence and morale.

How to get rid out of this loop thinking?

The easiest and efficient way is GO and PERFORM. Instead of preparing for months, we try to accomplish something with just the knowledge we have. The early we started and come out form comfort zone early we get results. If we play a safe game early then we can fail early.

Just try new things. Don’t be afraid. Step out of your comfort zones and soar, all right?
-Michelle Obama

The main reason behind our failure is that we prepare for the things that never give us any result in hope that this preparation results into big. When we fail in front of everyone we get the feedback from the market or the audience upon which we can improve and do better the next time. If we fail early we get to improve early and also it makes more sense to fail early then preparing for months without feedback only to realize that market wants something different then what we prepared.

I think it’s very important to have a feedback loop, where you’re constantly thinking about what you’ve done and how you could be doing it better.
-Elon Musk

If you are learning something new, performing something new in the early stage show it to people and get their feedback, come back and improve. Repeat this process. Over time you will realize that you are improving and accomplishing something rather than sitting and just preparing.
Stay out of the loop, the club, the inner circle.
