If you're living life in fear, are you really “living” life?

I believe that the only thing restraining people from living life is fear.

Fear of spiders, fear of heights, fear of death , fear of living. But fear is just an emotion. A barrier to the outside; to the unknown.

When I was just a child I didn’t mind spiders, monsters weren’t under my bed and darkness didn’t haunt me. Instead it was the deep thoughts I would have usually before going to bed. I had a fear of dying and death around me. At that point I hadn’t even had a family death happen to me. It’s not about living life not thinking about death, it’s about realizing fear can’t prevent the future and that is what I had to realize. A man may know he is going to die, but he can never know that he is dead. It was only when I found the value of living, and the value of my life to others until I realized as much as I thought about it nothing was going to change.

Living life means something different to everyone. If you're living life in fear are you really “living” life? Fear is fake, it only grows as you adapt to it. A person learns the most about themselves in these situations. Danger is real but fear is just a choice, let something control your life or take control. Living life with this fear as a child ate me up inside. I was overthinking everything and that’s what fear grows on.
