My #featheredfriday with @keithboone, this is Oskar the ostrich, well that is the name I gave him away, what else would you call a Polish ostrich? I was on holiday in Poland and came across the most strange of things, an ostrich farm. I am originally from South Africa and always thought they live in the desert and don't like cold, but that is not true apparently, the farmer said that they love playing in snow and don't mind the cold at all, I was truly baffled by this. This farm had loads of ostriches, here is another pics of some more tiny ostriches.

The adult ostriches are sycophantic killers, they made me crap myself, I thought they were going to eat my brains like a some kind of zombie bird, they really don't like humans, but who can blame them when they are trapped in big cages like this.

While I was taking some pictures one of them snuck up like a stealthy ninja and knocked off my hat in an attempt to eat my brains, at that point I realised my time here is up and vacated the premises in a non orderly fashion. This is what is the angry ostrich that attacked me.

If you see it coming be sure to stick your head in the ground lol 😂. Thanks for checking out my Polish ostriches, all photos taken with my

There is also ostrich farm ïn a village not far from my hometown and there are some more in my country. But we live further south from Poland. I did not know there are ostrich farms there.

Yeah I found it quite random, I didn't think they liked the cold, but the desert does get cold at night.

Now that's not a typical sight! Thank you for posting these photos.

Yeah I was quite shocked, I would love to see an ostrich playing in the snow, too bad I went in summer.

I don't think I like the sycophantic killer bit. They remind me of velociraptors.
