Why February has 28 or 29 Days?

We all know that there are 12 months in an year and 30 or 31 days in a month but there is one month which has 28 or 29 days. But have you ever thought why is it so? If no, then follow me and know.

The calendar used by us today is based on roman calendar. Months used to start from March in old calendars and whole year used to have 304 days and there used to be 10 months in an year. Later this calendar improved and 2 months - January and February were added to it. Whole year bacame of 355 days. But this calendar also not proved to be true. Some festivals did not come at right time as per this calendar. Then this caledar was further improved and in order to rectify dates of these festivals, 2 days were removed from February month and there became 365 days in an year. And this calendar was made as per the rotation of sun and earth because earth takes 365 days and 6 hours to cimplete one revolution of sun and every year 6 hours remain and these remaining hours after 4 years make one day and they are added to February month. This is the only reason why there are always 28 or 29 days in February.
