The deficit for 2018 will be determined by the total revenue at the end of the year. Assuming revenues are the same as fiscal year 2017, the deficit will be estimated to be around $440 billion.
From October 1st, 2016 to September 30th, 2017, the Federal government has collected $3.644 Trillion, with a total deficit of $503 Billion.
The fiscal year of 2018 will be from October 1st, 2017 to September 30th, 2018
