Is you've seen in the former blogs about JayJay he is growing fast and gaining weigth fast. But finding good information about feeding him is hard.
yes i have found tips about using a slow feeder like this:
but how much do i need to give him? Well, here is a nice guideline, remember you always look if your dog is not skinny or fat, if that happens adjust the feeding patern or get advise from your vet. But follow this formula below and you will do it right for 99% :-)
up till 4 months give him 50grams per kg he/she weights devided over 3 times a day.
So when JayJay was 15kgs i feed him 15x50grams is 750 grams a day, 250grams per meal
between 4 and 7 months use 40grams per kg devided over 3 times a day
So say he weights 25 kgs, he will get 25x40grams 1000grams a day 333gram per meal
between 7 and 10 months use 30grams per kg devided over 2 times a day
So for example 35 kg will be 35x30 1050grams a day is 525 per meal
When grown up, stick between 20 or 30 grams per kg and feed him or her once or twice a day
again... if you see or your dogs implicates that it is still hungry you can adjust a little bit or try and feed him some green beans or haricots beans mixed with the food you give him. This fills but is very low on callories
please reply tips or tricks if you have them,, thx

A Beatles hit. It’s rumored that, at the end of the Beatles song, "A Day in the Life," Paul McCartney recorded an ultrasonic whistle, audible only to dogs, just for his Shetland sheepdog.
