Ripping a straight edge in White Oak with sliding Table Saw with safety hold down clamp.

Notice the front shoe wedges the wood down against the sliding table and then the cam action of the hold down clam locks it in place.

Since the operator is standing on the left side of the blade, even if the blade were to catch the trimmed off piece (the riving knife mostly prevents that) no injury can occur.

Before I had this saw, I used a board with clamps on it which ran in the groove of my old Delta Unisaw. Did the same thins but always remember to stand on the safe side of the blade.
