Let Me Show You The World #6 - Exhilarating Experience at the Ferrari World In Abu Dhabi

When I was still based in Manila, I enjoyed going to car shows and enjoy both the creativity done on body works and the engine improvements of the participating cars. My experience at the Ferrari World brought that to a whole new level of excitement. In this post I will share some of my photos taken during my exhilarating experience there.

"Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was created in tribute to Ferrari’s passion, heritage, excellence, innovation and performance. Each area and attraction in the Park brings to life a different part of the Ferrari story, from Cinema Maranello with its film about Enzo Ferrari to Formula Rossa capturing the speed, power and freedom of a F1™ car. Farah Experiences was determined and passionate to not only showcase the best of the Ferrari brand, but to provide people of all ages with the most thrilling theme park experience in the Middle East.

Impress your friends and family with some fascinating facts about Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

1. The 86,000m² enclosed area of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi can fit 7 football fields in head-to-toe.
2. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s total roof area of 200,000m² uses enough aluminium to cover 16,750 Ferraris.
3. If you laid the roof of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi flat you could place 20,100 Ferrari’s side-by-side and end-to-end.
4. If Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was turned upright, it would be the tallest man made structure in the world!
5. The Ferrari logo on the roof, the largest ever created, measures an incredible 65m in length and covers an area of 3,000m², which could fit at least 7 basketball courts.
6. The volume of concrete in Hoover Dam could fit inside Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
7. 100,000m3 of concrete were used to pour the slabs of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, which is 10,000m3 more than what was used for Wembley Stadium in London.
8. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has the largest space frame structure ever built, with a total of approximately 172,000 members and 43,100 nodes.
9. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi needed 12,370 tons of steel to create its structure. The Eiffel Tower only needed 7,000 tons.
10. The gross footprint area of the plaza level is equivalent to approximately 15 American Football fields.
11. The Empire State Building could be rebuilt in the same time it took to clad the 200,000m² of roof for Ferrari World Abu Dhabi – approximately 14 months.
12. Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest roller coaster, has the same G force one would feel driving in an F1 car and braking at maximum speed.
13. Bell’Italia displays more than 40,000 hand-planted miniature trees.
14. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi includes 1,200 dining seats – enough to feed the entire Park at full capacity in 3 hours."

The Thrill of Rosso

Blast away on the fastest rollercoaster on the planet! Strap yourself into the F1™ cockpit, hold on tight as you feel the acceleration of 240km/h in under 5 seconds and discover what 4.8Gs really feels like. You’ll launch 52 meters into the sky before flying through chicanes inspired by some the world’s most famous race tracks. Cross the finish line with an adrenaline rush worthy of a Grand Prix – screams of joy and excitement can be heard from the other side of the park! Needless to say, you’ll have to wear safety goggles for the duration of the ride, just like every other racer that takes on Grand Prix speeds.

FIORANO GT Challenge

The drag race is on.

The GT coasters are revving their engines and ready to race! Take on your friends as you jump into a Ferrari F430 Spider and may the best team win. Two competing GT coasters launch away from the starting line on twisting parallel tracks, based on real GT racecourses from around the world. As you reach speeds of 95 km/h, watch out for the hairpin turns then tear ahead through the straights. Feel the thrill and Gs of a real drag race as you out-maneuver and speed past the other GT coaster cars. The competition is steep, so it’s anybody’s race in a flat out sprint to the finish.

I really enjoyed this visit at the Ferrari World like a kid would have enjoyed a trip in a candy bar. I hope you did too. I am thinking about featuring a couple of Spanish cities in my next post. So look forward to that.
