Post infertility-Divorce Etiquette - What we want our family and friends **Not** to Say

Social Media Do come to the Rescue Please !

Can we have more Memes, pictures and quotes for women (perhaps men too) who fall in this infertility-divorce category. There are few write-ups, blog posts or social media articles out there that help women who have suffered the pain of being divorced as a result of fertility issues stay positive and get back on their feet happy. Positive stay strong messages for women in this category don't pop up on our social media pages like wedding anniversaries and baby bump pictures do all day long, Like this is not too much to handle already, friends and family help turn on the waterworks in full with their Insensitive comments (Which they may or never know that its insensitive).

Post infertility-Divorce Etiquette

Having been through this already, I am dedicating Today's post on What Not to say to your friend who has been recently divorced due to fertility issues or stress.
1. You shouldn't have told him about your hormonal imbalance!
Like arrghhhhhhhhhhhh! Why was he my life partner if I can't share my life troubles with him?!
this already!!!!!!!
2. Why didn't you take in for him?!
Like really?! Seriously?! I tell you my marriage relationship is over and that's what you ask? How do you expect me not to burst on you?! Like Why are we even friends?! Why do you think I didn't because I don't love to have kids of my own?!!!!!!!!
3. Did you try praying to God?!
Now I am really wondering is that an insult on my faith life (like do I pray to the devil?!) or snide remarks made by a self-righteous person who believes she got her life together by her own righteousness.
4. OMG did you hear that ADA who just got married few months back is Pregnant?
Just rub it in like I didn't see all her baby bump pictures already over all social media sites! Do you even care how many buckets of tears I filled before your newsflash?
5. You should have married and conceived earlier
Now what am I supposed to do with you? woman-walking_1f6b6-200d-2640-fe0f.png

Some times the way some words are said are not how they are meant so let's have room to forgive and not have a short fuse on friends who try to help but in a rather insensitive manner, perhaps they know nothing of how it hurts, But we really dont want to hear them!
I know there are more insensitive remarks than this, feel free to add more in the comment section. I will update on this special type of etiquette here or in future post and share more on what to say to friends in this category.

Thanks for reading, upvoting and resteeming!

Number 4 tho.

lolz. As in ehn!

Some people just want to talk even when they are not meant to, out of that habit comes the foolish question they ask divorcee...😏😏

As in ehn?

Yes really, must they talk?

Sometimes, I feel some remarks or questions are just a show of sarcasm. They are meant to rob in salt on an injury that's still hurting badly.
I usually would ignore such sarcastic remarks or questions.

As for the issue of infertility, it could even be the fault of the man. However, in Africa, once a marriage is unfruitful, people would always point accusing fingers at the woman. This is totally inappropriate. Infertility issues in marriage should be addressed with wisdom and understanding. Affected couples should seek medical and whatever help required. Getting divorced is not the solution. I have seen couples who endured and took the right steps together, and today they have children after so many years of marriage.
