On Saturday, November 16, the Lacey United Methodist Church will be hosting a Harvest Festival from 10AM until 3PM. Located at 203 West Lacey Road in Forked River, this event will feature baked goods, homemade soups and chili, crafts and vendors, a rummage sale and animal care demos, as well as products and services for your four-legged friends. People are encouraged to bring their pets, as there will be a Blessing of the Pets.
In addition, there will be pictures with Santa, a Kid’s Korner and Face Painting. There will also be a Car Show happening at one end of the parking lot, with trophies being awarded at 2PM. The Car Show is being presented in the memory of Manny “The Hat” Naia.
This will also be the last day to view the artwork being displayed in the church for their 11th Annual Juried Art Show. Ribbons will be awarded to the winners in all the different media categories. Also, on display will be the entries for the Annual Gingerbread Competition. Ribbons will be awarded individually for the following categories: Creative Kids Under 12, Creative Youth 13 – 18, Reproduction of a Famous Building or Structure and Most Unusual Design.
Some of the many vendors or crafters that will be on hand include Berkeley Veterinary Center, Glue Mee Creations, Mind Over Batter, Quality Chiropractic & Physical Therapy, Wetlands Wildlife, Krazy Krafts & Activities by Leah, Idols & Anchors, David Lerner Associates, Kinship Designs, Bubbles Boutique, Deja Jewels, Service Dogs and Pet Photos by Mindy, Creations by Maggie and Scentsy with Vanessa.
