Dussehra also known as Vijayadashami or Dasara. Dasara is a Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navratri erery year. Dasara is celebrated not only in India celebrated also in Banglades, Shrilanka and Nepal. The day marks of victory of Durga over Mahishasura with whom she fought for nine nights and Ravan was killed by lord Rama as revenge against the cruel king and kidnapping Lord Ramas wife Sita. Many parts of India Ramleela is organised and people enjoy the performance of play based on RAMAYAN.In many places organised fairs evening and burnt Ravan (cruel king of Lanka) On this day people visit their relatives and friends and exchange sweets with them and gifts of Apta leaves.
