The Life

Once upon a time, there was a kid, a kid without a silver spoon, living with his parents in a run down shack in the outskirts of town. He had access to the Internet through the one desktop in the home.

At 17 and home schooled, he was heading down the path of no return, down the path of continuous struggle for survival, having money, but just barely enough to take care of his need and those of both his extended and immediate family.

The kid named Joe, woke upon a Tuesday morning, woke up to the sound of shouts and screams from the house. His younger siblings, Anita and Jane were awake, 15 and 12 they were, and standing in front of dads room, they did watch another battle ensure between mama and papa.

Its not like Joe’s parents loved to argue, but living in a run down part of town, along with being out of money for most of the time had brought both parents to the very edges of insanity.

“Pent up tension had to be released eventually and unfortunately, for most of the time, the tension was released in the form of fights and arguments.”This, was the official reason that joe gave all the time to his siblings who witnessed the gradual tearing down of a family and a home.

Joe wasnt lazy, working in the local garage shop, repairing auto’s was his passion, making money to take his family away from the ghetto was his goal.

A call to join a new and exciting site called steemit.com.

With so little information available on the poster, Joe took the idea to the back of his mind, and resumed his run to the repair shop.

See, Joe’s dad had not always been out of work, he was once a construction worker, managing a group of newbies and living a relatively good life, until a machine accident rendered him unfit for duty. A deep cut rupturing the lungs had make him unable to carry out any heavy duty work again, and the company had been so eager to replace him.

Joe hated co operations and their policies, and in extension, the government that refused to support his dad.

All these things did joe think about whenever he was at work, that he knew not when time had come for closing.

Joe got home and logged on the computer, after a few browsing sessions, remembered steemit and joined.

Joe’s life never remained the same after that.

We are all Joe’s

Whether you found steemit through a referral, or through a promotional campaign.

Whether you found steemit through an advert or you found it out by your own .

The truth is, steemit is here to stay, it is a blogging platform capable of helping out a large percent of people. A peer-to-peer helping platform, where the needs of one can be met by the power of another, a place where the rules of a centralized and strictly regulated government holds no sway.

We are all joes, some of us are here to renegade against the government rules, I belong to that category

  • Some of us are here because of the profit

Whatever the reason, steemit settles our needs, steemit. . . . .is evolving, in the next 1 year, the steemit we see today, would be radically different from what we see now.
