Martha was the best character. Grandpa was off - a person with that much life experience and in the know would have chosen to deliver such incredible news to Mia differently. Also, the struggle to tell Mia the new is missing - there is body language but no inner thoughts at all. Now, Mia appears to be a young college student - around twenty years old, but her reactions to the news were incredibly mature, and the shock was absorbed unbelievably fast. I guess the gap in the story was intentional - to me; it just seemed rough. Overall, the story is good, and Mia is becoming interesting as more of her thinking is shown. I look forward to reading the second chapter. @fcpway
