Matt dropped Sarah off at her place after taking her out to dinner to celebrate the whole event. They spend the whole evening talking about the house and all the changes they wanted to make to the house. Matt said that he would contact Fred to see if he was up for the challenge.
Sarah hardly slept that night. She was way too excited about the turn of events and couldn't believe how happy she suddenly felt in just a few short days.
She woke up early Thursday morning and decided to go for a quick run. She had to clear her head and decide if she was taking a leave of absence from work to focus on the renovations at the house. By the time she got back to the apartment she had made up her mind.
She arrived at the office and asked her secretary to call a board meeting. At exactly eleven o'clock that morning she informed the rest of the partners that she would be taking a three month leave of absence with immediate effect. She left the office that afternoon without a care in the world. Most of her cases would be taken over by her partner and her secretary would forward messages to her cellphone.
She was back home at two o clock. She phoned her estate agent and told him that she was giving two weeks notice and that she would be moving out at the end of the month. Lastly she phoned Matt and asked if he could meet her at the house after five o'clock.
She packed a suitcase with necessities and then loaded it into her car. She stopped at Wright-wood furniture and bought a bed and a side table and then rushed over to Unison and bought the most amazing sheets, duvet and pillows. She bought some new curtains and had everything delivered to her new house.
She was excited. When she got back to her car she was laughing at herself. Was she crazy? There were lots of time to move in properly but she did not want to waste one second. At five o clock she was ready to go home. Most of the furniture except the bed would be delivered in the morning. At least I will have a bed to sleep in tonight...she thought to herself and once again laughed at her silly idea.
She stopped at the delicatessen and bought some food for the evening and then she was on her way home. Matt was already waiting on the porch when she arrived. The delivery truck was waiting in front of the house and she was just in time to unlock the door to her new house.
They carried the bed upstairs to the room where Rich lived. Matt was surprised but helped her make the bed and after they were done they were both laughing at the tiny bed in the middle of this big empty room.
"You're crazy Sarah...do you know how much furniture you will have to buy to fill up this house?"
It was going to be a crazy adventure but Sarah thought it was going to be the most exciting adventure she had ever undertaken.
She was ready for whatever was shoved her way. She was ready for anything. She was happy.
