The Journey To The Future (Episode 4)

The next morning was filled with expectations, hope, love and a sense of togetherness in their hearts. The horse was set for the journey, beautifully decorated with Nora’s wrapper, the only gift bought for her by her Nigerian friend, Uyai.
Ned, on his part was not completely excited, compared to his wife, having the thoughts of possible challenges during the journey, now that his lover is involved. The need to protect her from possible dangers in the wild, dominated his mind, coupled with protecting her from effects of changing weather conditions along the way. Not forgetting the feeding and shelter, as no duration was fixed for the journey, though they had a load of clothings and food items that could last some days. He understood that being with her, made her his responsibility. But the challenges ahead were not enough to discourage him from the trip.
“Which direction are we heading?”, he asked himself, as if he had the answer. Having being a good hunter and traveller under his father's leadership, he learned to always go to the right hand side, whenever where to go became a difficult decision to make. “Here's it, we'll start the journey from the right hand side of the street “, he muttered to his wife, whose eyes were filled with strange excitement, an excitement with an unexplainable reason.

Sitting on the average sized white horse, with Ned in front, as the rider, followed by his wife, wrapping her hands around his waist, as support, the long awaited journey began, as they head towards Bintus,the village at the far right hand of their street.
