I'm glad y'all are digging the story. It seems a little flat to me but I trust the judgment of the audience more than my own, especially about my own writing.

This may seem a dumb question, but how do you define "flat" in this case?

Well, there's not a lot going on in it. The guy comes into town and gets directions to the general store. I know there's more to it than that, but it blows me away that this is the most popular part of the story right now when part 1 is literally a three page gun-and-sword fight with a bunch of orcs.
