Excellent story, @jcalero. That first part is so well described that it really looks like a purgatory. Sordidness and idleness is in each of the first lines creating in the reader a feeling of anguish and helplessness. I also rescue that end: open to interpretation, to the multiplicity of senses, to mystery, but at the same time so definitive. Is there a second part? Thanks for sharing!
