Okay, insane writers block fiction workshop brainstorming sessions are definitely the stuff magic is made of. I never could have gotten THIS out of that discussion. I love it.

Thanks! Sometimes idle chatter puts a little grain of sand in the folds of your brain, and it eventually either turns into a pearl or it irritates you to no end until you do something with it.

This story is probably neither, but it was fun to write!

You magnificent bastard. You did it. ;-) Oh and..LOL "Is that why you wear coconuts instead of proper undergarments?"

Much thanks! That coconuts line was literally the last sentence I added before I posted. How can one write a story about mermaids without involving coconuts?

How indeed? Not possible. Also the raising of Cthulhu is genius.

Don't mermaids usually wear seashell bikinis though?

You brought Cthulhu into this?!?
Awesome! There's gonna be carnage!

There's no story written that isn't just a wee bit better when Cthulhu is added!

Sennison farted loudly, then giggled like a girl.

The best opening line I've read in a really long time. 😂
Awesome buddy.

Thanks! I'm glad somebody can appreciate the best part of the story! :)

Haha pretty wild mash-up you've got going here. When the necronomicon showed up I wasn't sure if this was headed to Evil Dead territory, but then you brought the sleeping king of the deep into it. Very fun how you wrapped these all up together.

It totally is a mashup, but why the heck not. There are no rules in fiction! Thanks for reading!

Wow this got me totaly hooked - awesome story - resteeming

My thanks for read and resteem!

Bloody brilliant.... Sad that I missed whatever chats led to this now :-(

Too bad discord doesn't dump all our chat garbage onto the blockchain so you could peruse the bits at your leisure :) Thanks for reading!

Actually she could search in discord in fiction workshop for cthulu and go back a bit further to catch it.

Oh my gosh, I'm sitting here in a cafe laughing out loud and people are staring at me. This is so much fun! And it's very well-written too. Great work, @negativer!

Excellent. My work here is complete. I don't write a lot of humor, but it is somewhat liberating. Thanks for reading!

Got me from the first line :D It's a bold move to start with farting and giggles but it works!

Ha, don't encourage me. I'll end up starting every story with something equally silly as a hook. Thanks for reading!
