The Dark Side of Falling in Love

This was the last text he received from her new boyfriend. You can only imagine how he felt. His body stopped working, fully became numb. He wanted to utter words but those words meant nothing. So he stayed quiet. He wanted to punch him, break his bones, but at the same time he wished he ( her new bf ) treat her better. Much better than him. He punched the wall instead. He didn’t feel anything. No pain. No nothing.

Little did he know, she quelled the relationship without him knowing. He was flabbergasted. She was lying him the whole time. She cheated on him. His business failed miserably. When he needed her the most, she left him. He became depressed. He was broke financially, physically and emotionally. He didn’t want to live. She shattered the core of his heart. He wished he had delete button wired somewhere in his brain so he could forget her.

She used to sing him a Mockingbird. He could listen to her all day and still not get bored. But that moment was gone. Long gone. He began to reminisce the beautiful moments they spent together.

They had promised they would get old together. And now he didn’t even know if he wanted to get old at all. He stopped trusting other girls. His capability of trust faded away. She left a mark on him.

Fast forward one year which is now.

He is now strong. Both emotionally and physically. He is back on his track. He wants to do something about life. His Ex texted him back saying how stupid she was. Even her dad called her stupid. She wanted to get back together. He talks to her sometimes. He doesn’t want her to get depressed. Because he knows what it is like to be depressed. His boyfriend ( now ex ) dumped her. He let her know he forgave her a long time ago. And suggest she should see a therapist.

Now he knows there’s no turning back.
