The British Daily Mail reported on Friday that a giant asteroid would pass by the Earth by the end of the week.
The asteroid, called "3200 python", is three miles (five kilometers) in diameter and is classified as "potentially dangerous."
NASA says the asteroid will pass, Saturday, around 2200 GMT (1700 EST), next to Earth.
It stated that this passage would be closest to the ground since December 16, 1974, when it was about 5 million miles away.
"3200 Feithon" is expected to pass about 6.4 million miles (about 10 million kilometers) from our planet, about 27 times the distance between Earth and the moon.
is it going to be visible from earth?
