Everyday Heroes #2: Blue Eye Dragon

In one small village, in the mountains a little boy made his first cry.. New hero was born! He was the youngest in one big family. His blue eyes, rather the color of a stormy sky or deep sea, cried only few times during our heroes life. He was a joyful man, with a bright mind and clear conscience. His parents kind and hard working, but somewhat absent and distant in their emotions, shared the love between eight children. They raised him the best they knew how, but the world was cruel to kind people, and he struggled with that fact his whole life. He wanted to make the world a better place, one step at a time.

Hard work came easy for someone whose head is not even remotely in our "mortal world". Our hero had big plans, and big plans must be created first in our minds. He wanted more, he wanted family and his own home. He didn't go to school, he knew only numbers needed for construction and building. But he somehow made every project perfect, every house stand proud and tall, every window and door a portal to a new dimension, or so he saw them.

He built houses for those in need, shelters for animals and many other buildings in his small village, he was loved but he didn't have any money. That was, and I am afraid still is, a big problem and "obstacle" for marriage. Thus, he loved one girl his whole life, and he almost lost her to another man, while he went to war. But, let's not forget that every hero is a brave soul, and so was he. Upon his return he convinced the father of the girl he loved that he is going to make it, going to be rich, and successful, all he needed was her love. And he kept his promise.

That love was something unseen to this day. He didn't care that men in his environment didn't show emotions, it was considered shameful. He loved her with all of his heart, and made his promise true. They moved to a bigger city, and he worked two jobs to make them a perfect family home.

His blue eyes always had a hue of worry, but never sadness. He brought his love for nature with him, and filled his whole house with flowers and plants. The way he took care of every little petal, like the whole world was in his hands. Every leaf mattered. You can only imagine the love and care he had for his children, grandchildren and yes great-grandchildren.

The love he shared is the love that came back to him. Such an amazing heart had to be rewarded somehow, and his reward was family. Our hero now lives only in our memory, but the legacy of Blue Eye Dragon, who fought for what he believed in, goes on!
