“Quick! Let’s follow the pawprints.” Amber said
“ What pawprints?” Ruby asked.

Ruby was still trying to make sense of the situation as she unable to see neither the cat nor the pawprints.

“The movie is about to start! Amber!” Ruby shouted.

Unfortunately Amber doesn’t seem to have heard her and was getting farther ahead, following the “invisible” pawprints.
Amber continue following the pawprints of the cat which goes through a three-path circular area that is pack with people due to a sale that is happening in the centre of the area. Amber focusing her eyes searching for the pawprints between the footsteps of the crowds. Fortunately, the pawprints have a distinguishable colour making it easier to follow. She saw the blue-teal pawprints and makes haste to the left following the track that is left by the mysterious feline.

Meanwhile, Ruby who had fallen behind; struggled to follow and catch up to Amber whom Ruby can only saw her back, which she identified by the red colour of Amber’s peacoat.
Amber ran past four stores of the mall before the pawprints led her to the left after the fourth store but before the fifth. Amber took a quick glance and notice the toilet sign above. Amber continue her pursuit following the pawprints into a hallway where the toilets are located. Ladies to the left, gentleman to the right but the pawprints went straight to the staircases near the end of the hallway and went through it.
Ruby who had frantically chased after Amber saw her in front of the staircase door and called out to her.

“AMBER!” Ruby shouted.

Amber was surprised by the shout and snap out of her white whale chase for the pawprints. Ruby walked quickly towards Amber and grabbed Amber’s arm.

“Don’t leave me like that!” Ruby started to feel annoyed with Amber
“Let’s go to the cinema already, the movie is about to start,” Ruby said.
“Ruby…” Amber said. “I’m sorry but I want to get to the bottom of this.”

Amber pushed the staircase door and went through it. Ruby followed suit.

“I thought you want to hang out with me,” Ruby said.
“I do and we will. We will watch the movie together.”

Trying to reassure Ruby, Amber said” Relax, there’s always 20 minutes of advertisement before the movie start”

“We got a lot of time. Let’s investigate these pawprints together first, okay?”
“Fine. But if by 15 minutes we’re still getting nowhere then we will go and watch the movie” Ruby said.

They went down the stairs and followed the pawprints to the underground parking of the mall. They continue to follow the trails which lead them to a secluded area of the parking.
