The fidelity to the law: Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations. Deuteronomy 4:6

The Book of Deuteronomy is made up of several speeches given by the prophet Moses in which the alliance with God, its precepts, and laws are described.
And this alliance between God and the Israelites is briefly described, in the first speech of Moses:
"Now, Israel, hear the decrees and law I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the LORD, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you" Deuteronomy 4:1-2.
In this pact, only God must be worshiped and his law carried out, and thus God would bestow the blessing of life, prosperity, and the land: "I have taught you decrees and laws as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it" Deuteronomy 4:5.
And in addition to this, Moses warned something else about the fidelity to the Law, the law of Moses is the wisdom of Israel against the pagan peoples: "Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, ´Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.´" Deuteronomy 4:6.
This meant that although many ancient nations possessed the knowledge of wisdom, such as the egyptians, phoenicians, and babylonians, the wisdom from the Lord would only be reserved for the nation of Israel.
And an example of this spiritual truth, was King Solomon who in a dream received the spiritual gifts of wisdom and understanding (1 Kings 3:5-14) as a consequence of his faithfulness to the Lord and his law: "Solomon showed his love for the LORD by walking according to the instructions given him by his father David" 1 Kings 3:3.
