There's absolutely no danger of her finding out about us, Deb assured him, as she slipped her lipstick furtively into the door pocket of his car. Evidently, his wife didn't make much use of the glove compartment, or she'd have discovered the earring Deb had surreptitiously stashed there last week.

Yes...I will make sure that she finds out about us! : )

Women are such bitches;)

ha! typical female causing trouble. well I guess the man is causing trouble too. typical female trying to get a man killed!
great job deirdyweirdy!

I’m not fond of “typical female” comments. There is no such thing, and in modern times few people with a head on their shoulders would make such a remark. Usually I just roll my eyes and walk away from things like this, but I thought perhaps you would appreciate knowing when you’ve hit a nerve.

lol! yes Ma'am well my typical female comment was directed to deirdyweirdy because she know that I was totally teasing her. Of course I believe the opposite, that's what makes the joke funny, see she gets it. God bless you Ma'am!

I’m so glad to hear that. (Well read.) Thanks for the clarification!

yes Ma'am, sorry for any temporary offensiveness but deirdyweirdy knows my "less than gentile" Texas redneck humor!

Hahaha Mr. J, I know you're only kiddin' when you say typical female so I'll let you off with it this time;) If you do it again I'll tell your wife!

thank you Ma'am you're very gracious to put up with my redneck humor! lol.

He'll get his just deserts... Lies and deception leads to more lies and deception... Great little story..

Great story. There is some typicality about it, no doubt. :)
Let's say, typical self-destructive lover behavior.
Nicely portrayed.

Cheers, thanks. Since you didn't say typical female behaviour, I'll let you away with it;)

Hahaha. Much obliged.

Love this, @deirdyweirdy! You did a great job of portraying a fairly complex scenario — an ongoing trust between two people in which one is secretly setting the stage for a marital war. Well done!

Thanks very much m'dear. It's always good to have your feedback.

another classic

Thanks Robbie........something like yourself, a real classic!
