Outside of the Farmers-Merchants National Bank, Gabriel Tuck and Eddie Havok pull up on their motorcycles in the parking lot. As they dismount, Eddie takes in the sights of the small town bank with a curious look.
Havok: Why are we here, Gabriel?
Tuck: I have business to attend to inside.
Havok: Oh. I see.
Tuck: Once we are finished here, we will have a groundwork for our partnership. Come on!
Gabriel Tuck walks up to the bank doors, looking back at Eddie, who shrugs and follows him. They head into the bank. There’s maybe three tellers helping out two customers in the place.
Havok: So...you doing a withdrawal from your account?
Tuck: Something like that. Here. Hold this.
Gabriel presses something into Eddie’s hands. He looks down to see that he’s holding a gun. He looks at Gabriel in shock.
Havok: What? What’s going on?
Gabriel holds his heavy revolver up into the air with a wide grin. He yells to the few people in the building.
Tuck: Everybody on the mother fucking ground! This is a robbery!
Screams go up into the air as the customers and tellers get to the ground as quickly as they can. Gabriel motions to them with his heavy revolver.
Tuck: Eddie, keep them covered with the weapon I gave you. Shoot anyone who tries to escape.
Eddie holds the gun in his hand like it might bite him.
Havok: What the fuck? I’m not doing that!
Tuck: Teamwork makes the dream work! Besides, they’ve seen your face. You’ll go to jail too if we get caught. Do it!
Eddie looks from the faces of the customers watching him and Gabriel. He sighs, knowing that he’s trapped. He points the gun at the customers, taking on an iron tone.
Havok: Nobody move or else be shot!
Tuck: Great job, man. Now.
Gabriel walks over to the tellers, pointing his gun at them. He produces a small bag that he sets on the counter.
Tuck: All the money from the drawers into this bag. Please and thank you. Be quick about it.
A blonde girl teller slowly grabs the bag with tears in her eyes from fright and opens one of the drawers. She begins loading it up with money from the drawer.
Tuck: You two. Empty your drawers too. Step it up! If the police come, you all become hostages!
This speeds the work of the tellers up as they empty their drawers into the bag.
Havok: How is this going to help us in the tag team match against Anubis and Tyler Knowles?
Tuck: We on the same page, ain’t we? This will improve our teamwork values and allow us to overcome the other teams.
Eddie Havok frowns, he clearly isn’t really sold on this, but in for a penny, in for a dollar. He takes aim with the gun and shoots the floor by the hand of one of the customers who is trying to slip out the door unnoticed.
Havok: Back toward the center of the bank or else you die!
Customer: Please, no! I have children!
Havok: If you don’t want them to be orphans, get to the center of the bank!
The customer complies as Gabriel nods approvingly. He fires a single round into the air.
Tuck: Faster! The quicker you get done, the quicker that we get out of your hair!
The tellers comply quickly, filling the bag with the contents of their drawers. The bag is set back on the counter where Gabriel grabs it.
Tuck: Anyone who follows, dies. Compreende? Let’s ‘scape.
Gabriel Tuck and Eddie Havok run out of the bank and get on their bikes.
Tuck: We make a beeline for the interstate.
Eddie looks back at the bank and swallows hard as the alarm inside the bank is already sounding.
Havok: Right.
They only get a few blocks away before there’s a police car behind them before they can get to the interstate and possible escape. Gabriel reaches into a saddlebag, tossing something backwards at the pursuing car. The police officer sees that it’s a small pack of plastic explosives. He stops the car in its tracks and begins to run away from the car as fast as he can. Gabriel hits a button on a remote, causing the car to explode in a bright red fireball as he and Havok get to the interstate with Gabriel Tuck in the lead with Eddie Havok not far behind him.
Several miles back they see the bright lights of more police cruisers, Gabriel takes a shortcut off the side of the interstate with Havok close behind. They go through where fencing has been torn down by either weather or vandals years before and tear down a country road as the police continue down the interstate in the vain attempt to catch up with them. They go a few miles before pulling into a barn at a farm where no one seems to be home.
Gabriel Tuck dismounts his motorcycle, grabbing the money bag. He laughs.
Tuck: Quite the haul for just the two of us. A few thousand bucks each.
Eddie Havok dismounts his bike and crosses the distance between him and Gabriel, slugging the man across the jaw.
Havok: What the heck? Robbing a bank?
Gabriel spits blood onto the ground with a chuckle.
Tuck: Team building exercise.
Havok: Team building? How was this team building?
Tuck: You had to watch the customers while I gathered the cash. Like I said. Teamwork makes the dream work. Keep that in mind during the tag team tournament and we’re going to do well. Wanna hit another bank? There’s another small town just a few miles down the road.
Havok: No! I didn’t want to hit the one we did. We’re going to be arrested and go to jail instead of going to this tournament. You know that, right?
Gabriel leans against a hay bale and lights himself up a cigarette.
Tuck: All good. I’ve served time. You?
Havok: Why would I have served time? I don’t rob banks!
Tuck: I hate to tell ya this, bud, but you just did.
Havok: Shit!
Gabriel flicks ashes onto the ground with a smile.
Tuck: So...my crew is in Louisiana and out of reach. Can your crew help us out of this jam? We’re about two hours South of Chicago out in the country. I’m sure once we make it to Chicago it’ll be alll fine. You wanna give them a call?
Eddie Havok gets his cell phone out of his pocket and sighs as he decides whom to call.
To be continued by Eddie Havok!
