Elephant foot (Elephantiasis) included into the class of infectious diseases. The disease is caused by filaria worms and is transmitted through various types of mosquitoes. Elephant foot disease is chronic (if chronic) and if not getting treatment, can cause permanent defects in the form of enlargement of the legs, arms, and sometimes the enlargement of the genitals. This disease can attack both women and men. Elephant foot disease is not a deadly disease, but it can interfere with daily activities as well as embarrassing.

In 2015 recorded there are 25 people indicated suffering from elephantiasis disease. Therefore, we need serious handling from all parties, government, private and public. Until now, prevention and handling has been done. The effort was in the form of socialization, data collection, and the provision of anti-filariasis drugs. But counseling and psychological treatment of victims has not been done. We hope that the treatment of this disease continues to be done, and the victims can be empowered, and the number of sufferers can be suppressed.

Thank you.
