How to Fix l File Is Too Large l For The Destination File System l STUBE TV

Many of us facing problem while coping a larger files with size more than 4GB to a external hard drive or a flash drive with an error message that "File is too large for the destination file system".

The reason is that your disk is formatted with FAT32 so it can be read by all operating systems. It won't accommodate a file larger than 4GB. The max file size for FAT32 is 4GB. The max file size for FAT16 is only 2GB!

So how do you fix this problem? Well there are two ways you can go about it. You can either split the file into smaller pieces and then copy it to your external hard drive or you can convert the file system to NTFS, where there is no limit on file sizes. If you format it with NTFS the problem will go away.
