FMA can it compete against other arts in the Philippines ?

in filipino •  7 years ago

Much has been written about the state of FMA abroad and by all accounts it is doing well but, what about in its own country of origin ? There are a lot of systems that are active but it seems that only those within the FMA community are aware of it . TKD, BJJ, have huge followings and apparently well planned marketing since they have made major impacts on the Philippine martial arts scene TKD is found everywhere and BJJ is also well represented in terms of gyms and clubs that offer training but with FMA it seems there are not a lot ... kind of sad considering it is our own art ... what could be the problem with FMA gaining mainstream exposure and acceptance at home ?
