Muna’s health continues to experience a major decline as he has no money to tend to himself.

Malia tries to intervene with the help from her father, but the older man will not hear any of it. Telling her to “get prepared to marry Pascal and learn to love him.” Pascal is the supposed fiancée of Malia who his visits and show of face aided in Malia’s memory-regain—she remembers that Pascal had been responsible for her unconsciousness. Her father is furious about this revelation and tells Pascal off. Pascal puts out a threat before making his way out of the building.

Malia succeeds in convincing her father to save the life of the man she loves. But it is too late; Muna has already given up the ghost. Malia is inconsolable she wishes to die and the bullet from Pascal’s gun to her heart gives her her wish and she dies in Muna’s arms.
