Death Note Netflix Get Bad Rating

Death Note, is one of the manga that achieve tremendous success. After being appointed in the form of anime and movies, Hollywood also adapted the story originally written by Tsugumi Ohba.

The live action movie was produced by Netflix, as well as released on the streaming platform on August 25th. Only, the audience response to the Hollywood version of Death Note is fairly bad.

Many critics say that the story of this movie is very boring. "The end of this movie will make you close the application of Netflix with a feeling of disgust, even if you are not bored," wrote Brian Tallerico from RogerEbert.com site. There is also a feeling that this film is a failed adaptation. The Verge, for example, writes that this Hollywood version of the movie just throws away everything that makes the original version of Death Note a masterpiece.

In social media too, the Hollywood version of Death Note is heavily criticized. "I just watched the Death Note ... and I laughed it out louder than the comedy I'd ever watched," writes the @Onision account owner in a sarcastic tone.

Already get a taunt, and a low rating, very unlucky, what do you think the about movie?

I'm a big fan of DN and that's exactly why I don't really feel like watching this film. I watched the scene where "Light" gets scared at the shinigami and instantly disliked him and the overall "tone" of the movie.

I will start and say I have not seen all of Death note the Anime, what I have seen I really liked.

The Movie on Netflix, I found it sort of okay, does it do the anime right, no but it has some good things in it. The fantastic William Dafoe as the voice of Ryuk was perfect casting wise. And even the design of Ryuk was good, I really liked that he mostly was in the darkness, atleast from the start, as creature like that is better in the dark.

I didn't like the whitewashing though or the American setting.

But in many ways I would say the Movie is good for people that doesn't want to see hours of episodes.

I will keep on watching the anime though, but I would have loved a movie closer to the source material, and I hope in 10 years that a reboot will be done.
