CW has just released a new trailer for their new series, Black Lightning. This trailer seems to promise what they will present in this series. From family dramas to cool acts. Not surprisingly, they also introduced some villains that will be faced by the superhero, The Serial starring Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning, Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce, China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce and Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce. 

Black Lightning is an alter ego of Jefferson Pierce and was created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden in 1977. The series from CW in will tell about Pierce who is a "former" superhero who can absorb and control electric power. He must return from retirement to face a local gang called The One Hundred. The group is led by Tobias Whale and their presence threatens the citizens and families of Pierce.

Jefferson Pierce is a man wrestling with a secret. Nine years ago, Pierce was gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, which he used to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life and his family on the line, he left his Super Hero days behind. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community.
